We never share your information, and we answer all questions. Campbell Kitchen
Ed and Sharron Campbell of Charlotte, NC got a face-lift for their kitchen. A tired sheet vinyl was replaced with a 16"x16" porcelain tile, and a poorly installed backsplash was removed and replaced with a modern color-coordinated one. Schluter Ditra was applied over the slab to provide our "Crack-Free Guarantee" and custom inlays adorn the floor and bar knee wall.
Caine Shower
Darren and Linda Caine wanted to add a second story master bath to there newly completed South Charlotte, NC home. The space for the shower had a pitched ceiling that also needed tile. We used a tile with high shade variation and cut a dramatic pattern into the ceiling. Red Guard waterproofing membrane was applied over Denshield backerboard. A seat and a bench was also installed to make the shower more functional as well as beautiful. Shaw Master Bath
Salisbury residents Jackie and Danny Shaw completely gutted their master bathroom, adding a large garden tub, free-standing shower, plus...we tricked it out with some one of a kind add-ons. Coullier Residence
One of the most challenging installations for us to date, was the entire first floor of this enormous home in Charlotte, NC. Aside from the fact that the nearly 2300 square foot first floor wound through 10 rooms, the material we installed was a 24"x24" honed travertine marble. Compounding the challenge was the desire of homeowner Vivian Coulier to have the tile installed with a running bond pattern. How do you install an entire first floor with giant tile with a pattern? First, you find the exact center of the house... Pelican Builders
Kitchen renovation for Pelican Builders, Inc. We removed 385 square feet of improperly installed ceramic tile (tile adhered directly to subfloor) and replaced it with random size (5x5,5x10,10x10,15x15) porcelain tile. We also installed counter tops and backsplash with 20"x20" porcelain over Schluter Ditra. Mike Brown Master Bath
This new construction project combined several materials including glazed porcelain, tumbled stone and mosaics to make a dramatic shower. The large garden tub sits in front of a large shower with two entrances, one from either side of the tub. Three large windows in the shower allow natural light to wash in from skylights above the tub area. A seat and wall niche in the shower add functional options that look great, too. Mother-In-Law Suite
This one-of-a-kind bath features a tile so big it tops the scales at 23 pounds a piece. A 24"x48" porcelain tile combined with a 1"x1" mosaic creates a dramatic shower for this 8 foot tall tub enclousure. We also fabricated corner shelves, wall decos, and bullnose to make this stunning bath even more eye-catching. Small Balconey
While this balconey may be small in size it's big in design. With Schluter Ditra/Kerdi over a reinforced mortar bed, this wood-like porcelain tile mimics the compass inlay in the hardwood just a few feet away. Shower Power!
This shower has it all! With its multilple shower heads, benches, niches and 12 foot ceiling...you could have a party in it. 18"x18" glazed porcelain tile adorns all the walls while 3"x3" mosaic covers both ceiling and floor, as well as two bench seats, two niches and one window. Permabase cement backer board was first installed followed by Laticrete 9235 water proofing membrane. Large marble saddles were fabricated for the shower entrance. Morlando Master Bath
This garden tub is one of our best installations yet. It features a sunburst inlay with the rays radiating from the semi-circle tub. The combination of glazed porcelain and polished marble creates subtle contrasting elements in the design. The tub is installed with a 3"x3" porcelain mosaic, with random marble tiles placed throughout the face and backsplash. Laticrete Spectralock epoxy grout finishes the floor and tub, ensuring easy maintenance for the life of this installation. Spiral With Style
Once again, the home of Dominic Morlando has another unique design element that we were able to add our own touch with tile. This spiral staircase in the entrance off the garage features a 6 foot mosaic "rug" that is centered directly beneath the center post of the stairs. The chiseled edge travertine and mosaic are installed over Schluter Ditra. The treads for the stairs (not yet installed when photographs were taken) are made of glass, allowing you to see the mosaic all the way through the staircase from the second floor. Hopscotch Kitchen
Another fun project for Mr. Morlando featured an 18"x18" tumbled and honed travertine set in a modified-hopscotch pattern with a 6"x6" chocolate marble. After the floor was complete, the cabinets were installed, and once they (and the counter tops) were done, we went back and installed the kitchen backsplash. The floor is installed wall-to-wall prior to the cabinets, and the cabinet installer was amazed that he didn't require a single shim to install his base cabinets. A small laundry room and hall off the kitchen were also installed at the same time. Turco Master Bath
Mike and Kristine Turco of Salisbury, NC improved thier master bathroom by replacing the old sheet vinyl that was installed during construction of thier home, with a tile and stone floor over Schluter Ditra. Having replaced the shower in the same bath a few years prior with the Schluter Kerdi Shower System, the Turco's were eager to use Ditra in thier floor installation for continued worry-free performance. Mothershead Master Bath
Lisa and Gene Mothershead decided to completely gut their master bathroom and give it a more modern look. With Schluter Ditra on the floor, and the entire Schluter Shower System in the steam shower, we were able to install a "worry free" assembly. The floor included a modified hopscotch pattern, which we duplicated as an accent strip around the rooms walls. The shower features a wall niche, corner shelf, and another large niche under the seat for storage. The Turco Kitchen
Once again the Turco's trusted us to execute another project for them. This time a three room make-over that took a great deal of planning, and a perfect execution to pull it all off. Plumbing, finish carpentry, cabinets, minor electrical, and new granite counter tops all had to be performed as well as the installation of the floors and backsplash. This three-part slide show follows our progress, step-by-step, through the entire installation. | |
